Jaipur, Jan 27 (IBNS): Shooting of Padmavati was hit when protesters stomed into the set of the movie and allegedly attacked filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali here.

The protesters alleged that the film showed the Rajput queen poor-light.

The attackers reportedly belonged to the Rajput Karni Sena.

"We had warned the filmmaker against presenting wrong facts. When we came to know about the shooting, we gathered there and protested," Narayan Singh of the group was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Padmavati is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.

The film features Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in leading roles.
