New Delhi/IBNS: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan's mother Saeeda Begum died in Jaipur on Saturday. She was 95.

Saeeda Begum succumbed to age-related illnesses, said reports.

The news was confirmed by trade analyst Komal Nahta.

The actor paid his last respects to his mother through video conference.

According to reports, Saeeda Begum's last rites were performed at Chungi Naka graveyard in Jaipur.

Due to the lockdown, only a few family members attended the last rites.

Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 after which he left for London to get treated.

On recovering from the illness, he returned to India in 2019.

After a long hiatus, the actor made his comeback in Angrezi Medium, which released in theatres just few days before the nationwide lockdown was announced.
