Indo-Canadian director makes his Bollywood debut with 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai'

Mumbai, Sept 27 (IBNS): Upcoming film "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai", starring Arbaaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana, Prem Chopra, Supriya Pathak, Manjari Fadnis and Himansh Kohli marks the foray of Indo-Canadian director Keshhav Panneriy in Indian cinema.

Keshhav has a vast repertoire of work to his credit. He started his career as an actor at the early age of five on stage and later went onto perform as an outsider at the National School of Drama in 1996.

He has worked closely with a diverse range of local and international theatre companies and renowned names such as Sir Jhon Russel Brown, Steve Jharend, Renee Porte, Arya Rice, Rozalia Hummer and Dr. Devendra Raj Ankur.

Keshhav said, “I met producer Purnima Mead two years ago when I was in the US. We discussed the idea and it took us a year to script the film. It's an intriguing story and we have shot it on a large canvas."

Produced by Bibia Films Pvt. Ltd. and is currently on its last schedule. It was Keshhav’s film-making course coupled with his theatre background that helped him realize his dream.

Elaborating on his experience he said, "While theatre helped me extract the best performance from my actors, academics aided me to bring my vision on the big screen." Producer also went ahead and shot this film on 150 different locations and he hasn’t repeated either of it.

On his experience while working on the film, he signed off saying, "The biggest challenge is to make a believable movie. We want to present viewers with something they haven't experienced before. I'm sure they'll be treated to an entertaining film."

Produced by Purnima Meda under her banner Bibia Films Pvt. Ltd. and directed by  Keshhav Panneriy, the film stars Arbaaz Khan, Ashutosh Rana, Prem Chopra, Supriya Pathak, Manjari Fadnis, Himansh Kohli and Rati Agnihotri the film is slated to release in January 2017.
