Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Meer Foundation has extended support to the child, whose heart-rending video of trying to wake up his dead mother at Muzaffarpur railway station in Bihar, went viral on the internet.

In a tweet, Meer Foundation wrote: "#MeerFoundation is thankful to all who helped us reach this child, whose heart-wrenching video of trying to wake his mother disturbed all. We are now supporting him and he is under his grandfather’s care."

Sharing the tweet, Khan, who lost his parents as a young age, wrote an emotional note stating he knows 'how it feels.'

"Thank you all for getting us in touch with the little one. We all pray he finds strength to deal with the most unfortunate loss of a parent. I know how it feels...Our love and support is with you baby," his tweet read.

SRK's Meer Foundation provided instant help to the kid along with some financial aid.

It also helped the boy reunite with his grandfather.

Meer Foundation of late has taken up various initiatives to help people in distress.

Recently, the organisation donated to the West Bengal Chief Minister's fund after cyclone Amphan wreaked havoc in the state in May.
