Mumbai, May 26 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's popular movie 'Fanaa' turned 10 years since it hit the silver screen on May 26, 2006.

Director Kunal Kohli turned nostalgic as he shared several memories associated with the movie on his Twitter page.

"#10YearsOfFanaa the original script by Shibani Bhatija didn’t have Rehan @aamir_khan saying shairi,I got it in while writing the dialogues," he tweeted.

He said Aamir Khan had suggested that Kajol should play the character of Zooni in the movie.

"When #adichopra n me asked @aamir_khan,which 3 girls do u think r best suited to play #Zooni in #Fanaa. His reply: Kajol,Kajol & Kajol," Kohli remembered.

The director said: "#10YearsOfFanaa @aamir_khan heard only 2 narrations of #fanaa 1 in English & 1 in Hindi/Urdu to say ‘yes’ he’s on for #Fanaa."

The film featured Aamir Khan in an anti-hero role, Kajol as his blind love interest, and Rishi Kapoor, Tabuand Sharat Saxena in supporting roles.

The film also marked the comeback of Kajol, who was last seen in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
