Mumbai, Mar 17 (IBNS): Actress Dia Mirza has been honoured with the "Green Crusader of the year" award at the IAA Olive Crown Awards 2017.

She's among the loudest Champions of Nature in the country today, slowly, but surely making impact in areas of conservation and environment.

Every year, the India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) honours individuals who have gone the extra mile to use mediums of communication to create awareness and impact change with Green Crusader Award.

This year Dia was unanimously selected by the organisers to accept the Olive Crown Green Crusader award, for her consistent effort in pushing the green agenda.

"I do feel like a crusader. Making people understand the umbilical link between ecology and economy makes one feel like one is fighting a crusade. But what a waste it would be to have a voice and not use it. I would like to thank IAA for acknowledging the work I've done but more so, I think I'd use this honour as inspiration to do more," said Dia.
