Box office: Badrinath Ki Dulhania rakes 40 cr in three days

Mumbai, Mar 13 (IBNS): Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's latest release, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, made a strong start at the box office, minting over Rs 40 crore in three days.

"#BadrinathKiDulhania has a ROCKING weekend... Jumps past ₹ 40 cr mark," business analyst and Bollywood movie reviewer Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"#BadrinathKiDulhania Fri 12.25 cr, Sat 14.75 cr, Sun 16.05 cr. Total: ₹ 43.05 cr. India biz. EXCELLENT!" Adarsh said in a subsequent tweet.

The movie has also collected over Rs 18 crore overseas.

"#BadrinathKiDulhania is TERRIFIC Overseas... Opening weekend: $ 2.82 million [₹ 18.71 cr]... Second highest *3-day opening* of 2017," he said.
