Mumbai, Mar 23 (IBNS): Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who turned 31 on Friday, is spending her birthday in a different style.

Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel has shared a picture on Twitter where the actress could be seen planting trees.

The caption which accompanies the picture reads, "On her b’day our little Queen gifts herself a greener planet ...May you live long and live a beautiful life .."

Kangana is popular for playing diverse roles onscreen.

She made her debut in Anurag Basu's Gangster in 2006.

After Gangster, she went on to act in films like Woh Lamhe, Life in a... Metro, Fashion.

Kangana had won the national awards for the best supporting role in Fashion, which released in 2008.

Though for a brief period her films were not doing great at the box office, she returned with a bang with Tanu Weds Manu in 2011 in which her acting was highly praised.

Her acting was also highly acclaimed for the 2014 film Queen, which had earned her another national award and this time for the best actress.

Kangana was last seen in Simran, which released in 2017. She is waiting for her film Manikarnika- The Queen of Jhansi to hit the big screens.

Her personal life was not at all smooth. She was embroiled in multiple controversies, be it due to love affairs or the nepotism debate.

Kangana was in a verbal spat with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan over a love affair.
