Baaghi 2 earns record 25.10 cr on opening day

Mumbai, Mar 31 (IBNS): Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 has created a record at the box office by earning 25.10 crore on the opening day.

It is the highest gross by any film on the opening day so far in 2018.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted to say, "TOP 5 - 2018 Opening Day biz... 1. #Baaghi2 ₹ 25.10 cr 2. #Padmaavat ₹ 19 cr Note: Thu release; incl previews on Wed ₹ 24 cr Also: Hindi + Tamil + Telugu 3. #PadMan ₹ 10.26 cr 4. #Raid ₹ 10.04 cr 5. #SonuKeTituKiSweety ₹ 6.42 cr India biz."

Baaghi 2 is followed by Padmaavat, which had earned 19 crore on the opening day.

However, Padmaavat was released on Thursday, unlike most films which are released on Friday.

The film stars Tiger and Disha in lead roles.

Baaghi 2 has been directed by Ahmed Khan.

In the film, the two lead actors could be seen recreating the college romance.

It is the second movie in the Baaghi series.
