Amitabh Bachchan wins National Award, says he is 'grateful'

Mumbai, Mar 28 (IBNS) Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who won the National Award on Monday, for his role in Piku, said he is grateful for getting the award.

Replying to a tweet from a fan, who wrote, "@SrBachchan CONGRATS on another National! You have been honored.. the National a bit more!", Bachchan wrote, "grateful .."

Post his win, the actor's account have been flooded with greetings.

CM of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee too wished the star.

She wrote, "Congratulations @SrBachchan for winning #NationalAwards for Best Actor. Congrats all other well-deserved winners. Keep making India proud."
