Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu surpass Pink record with Badla

Mumbai, Mar 9 (IBNS): Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Taapsee Pannu created their own record with recently released Hindi film Badla.

The film collected Rs. 5.04 crore at the Indian box office on the opening day, surpassing the collection of Bachchan-Pannu starrer 2016 Hindi film Pink.

Pink had earned Rs. 4.32 crore on the opening day.

After Pink, Badla, which released on Friday this week, showcased the two stars in lawyer-client relationship but with a different touch.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Pink versus #102NotOut versus #Badla... Opening Day biz: 2019: #Badla ₹ 5.04 cr 2016: #Pink ₹ 4.32 cr 2018: #102NotOut ₹ 3.52 cr India biz."

The movie is directed by Kahaani famed filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh.
