Akshay Kumar unveils new poster of Kesari on Republic Day

| @indiablooms | Jan 26, 2019, at 06:34 pm

Mumbai, Jan 26 (IBNS): Akshay Kumar, Bollywood's dependable Khiladi, on Saturday unveiled a new poster of his upcoming movie Kesari.

Kumar shared the new poster of the movie as the nation is celebrating the Republic Day.

"Happy Republic Day. It’s our #70thRepublicDay but our men have been fighting for the country since time unknown. 122 years ago, 21 Sikhs fought against 10000 invaders.#KESARI is their story, in cinemas on March 21," Kumar tweeted.

The movie is scheduled to release on Mar 21.

The movie is directed by Anurag Singh.

Apart from Kumar, the film also features actress Parineeti Chopra in the lead role.

Kesari is yet another slice of history:

Last year, Bollywood had released Padmaavat, featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, giving the audience a slice of history to cherish about.

Now, Akshay is turning back the pages of history for this movie as it is dealing with the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897.
