Akshay Kumar starrer Gold's earning declines on second day

Mumbai, Aug 17 (IBNS): Actor Akshay Kumar starrer Hindi film Gold's box office collection declined on the second day of its release.

Gold earned Rs 8 cr on Thursday.

On the opening day, the film had earned Rs 25.25 cr. Gold released on the Independence Day of the country on Aug 15.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Gold witnessed a decline on Thu... Biz should gain momentum from today onwards... Plexes hold the key... Wed 25.25 cr, Thu 8 cr. Total: ₹ 33.25 cr. India biz."

Apart from Askhay, Gold, which is a hockey-based film, features Mouni Roy in one of the lead roles.

Mouni is a popular face in Indian television.

The film has been directed by Reema Kagti.
