New Delhi, July 21 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday assured his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina that she is not alone in her fight against terrorism.

Bangladesh witnessed a major terror attack this month when militants stormed into a popular cafe in capital Dhaka and killed at least 20 people.

Modi condemned the recent attacks in Bangladesh.

"You are not alone in your fight against terror. India will always fully support you in all your efforts to fight this menace," Modi told Hasina during a video-conference as the two leaders jointly inaugurated the Petrapole Integrated Check Post.

The Indian Prime Minister said: "Indian progress is linked to the progress of its neighbouring nations. Inauguration of the ICP will benefit both nations."

Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee also participated from Kolkata in the video-conference.
