New Delhi, Aug 18 (IBNS): Chief of Delhi's Commission for Women (DCW) Swati Maliwal has said she will be not "be scared or silenced," after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided her office on Thursday morning to investigate an allegation of "nepotism and favouritism."

"ACB raids DCW office. DCW will continue working for women. ACB is free to interrogate, question and arrest," Maliwal tweeted.

According to reports, the ACB has taken the action following a complaint by Maliwal's predecessor Barkha Shukla.

Shukla has alleged that many functionaries or supporters of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been appointed in the commission.

"Barkha Singh in DCW tenure of 9 year did only 1 case. I've done over 400 cases, 50 recommendation n 50 visits. Attack on me for doing work," Maliwal tweeted.

She wrote: "Hv done nothing wrong. Get salary of Rs 30,000 which is enough for me. DCW even open on Saturdays for past 5 months to ensure proper work."

She continued: "3 acid attack victims, 2 orphans from nari niketan and several victims been appointed. All due processes were followed. Thats our fault?"

The DCW chief posted: "We are the only ones raising issues of increasing child rapes, high level committee, victim compensation fund etc with govt. Thats r fault?"

She said she can't be silenced this way.

"If ACB n bosses feel that I will be scared n silenced through this, dey are wrong. DCW will continue to voice the pain of Nirbhayas of Delhi," Maliwal wrote.
