Won’t seek votes if failed to ‘shine up’ Bihar like Indian railways, Lalu Prasad tells villagers

Patna, Nov 2 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): RJD president Lalu Prasad has declared not to seek votes if his government failed to “shine up” Bihar like the Indian Railways.

“Although there is a coalition government in Bihar but my responsibility is bigger than that of chief minister Nitish Kumar since the RJD has won more seats than the JD-U’s,” Prasad declared at a function in Bihar on Tuesday.

“Now, I have to shine up Bihar like the Indian Railway which I did earlier. I won’t seek votes if failed to fulfill my promise,” he declared adding none could stop the wheels of state’s progress now.

Prasad during his tenure as the Union railway minister is credited with turning the sick Indian railways into a “cash cow”, inviting global accolades.

Such was his success story that he was also invited to address students from the elite Harvard and Wharton Business Schools of the US.

Right, now both sons of the RJD chief are in ministers in the ruling Nitish Kumar government. While his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav is a health minister, his younger son Tejashwi Yadav is deputy chief minister in the government.
