Ajmer, Aug 14 (IBNS) : Five members of a family have been arrested for allegedly killing a 40-year-old woman in Rajasthan's Ajmer district, who was accused of being a witch, NDTV reported.

According to reports, the woman, a widow, was allegedly made to eat faeces, tortured and beaten to death by her relatives.

Those arrested include two teenage girls.

The incident reportedly happened on August 2, but it came to light on Sunday after an FIR was registered by the victim's brother.

The report quoted the account of Kanya Devi Raigar's 15-year-old boy, the lone eyewitness to the crime as stating that their relatives started harassing her mother after his father died last month.

They allegedly  attacked her, branded her a witch and burnt her with coals.

After the crime, they cremated her in a hurry.
