West Bengal: Crude bomb explodes during deactivation, no casualties

Kolkata/Burdwan, Oct 22 (IBNS): A crude bomb reportedly went off at Hanspukur village under Kalna Police Station limits in West Bengal's Burdwan district, while it was being defused, on Saturday.

According to reports, the explosive was spotted in front of a house in the morning and then police were called in.

Later four officials from West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID)'s bomb disposal unit intervened into the matter.

While the bomb was being defused, it suddenly exploded.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

Police have started investigation into the matter, while no arrest has been made so far.
