Kolkata, Nov 15 (IBNS): A large number of Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists on Tuesday allegedly burned banned firecrackers and used microphones at a high volume in front of a government-run hospital in West Bengal's North Dinajpur district as they celebrated the take over of a local panchayat samiti, local media reports said.

According to reports, loud sound of firecrackers and microphone at a silence zone triggered panic and pain among the patients, admitted in Chakulia Primary Health Centre.

Later, local leaders of state's ruling party apologized for the incident through the local media.
