Vote for NDA to prevent Jungle Raj Part II in Bihar: Modi's dig at Nitish-Lalu in Gaya rally

Gaya, Aug 9 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on not just Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD, but also tagetted their alliance saying that it will ruin the state completely if brought to power while addressing a rally in poll bound-Bihar's Gaya city.
He said that the citizens of Bihar have been suffering for the last 25 years and a return of the 'Jungle Raj Part II' will destroy the state completely.  He urged the citizens to vote for the NDA government to prevent Bihar from further sufferings at the hands of 'arrogant politicians with vested interests.'

Starting off his rally, Modi said, "I am overwhelmed by the crowds which has turned up. I can see winds are changing here in Bihar. Bihar citizens have taken the decision of building a strong state and bringing about a change after suffering for 25 years. For 25 years, the government over here has tormented the people."

He said this election will release Bihar from the "Jungle Raj."

"Bihar's dreams have been shattered by the people driven by the craze of power and arrogance," Modi said in a sharp attack at both JD(U) and RJD parties.

"If 'Jungle Raj Part II' returns here, then Bihar will be destroyed," he claimed.

The Prime Minister said that in order to build a new, developing Bihar, the BJP government will help the people to change the destiny of the state.

"I want to return your love, that you showered on me during the Lok Sabha elections by bringing development in Bihar. The corrupt government over here are preventing the flow of development form Delhi to Bihar," Modi said slamming the Nitish Kumar government.

Taking a dig at the alliance formed by Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar, he said the alliance will not stay after the elections and common people will suffer from the outcome.

"If you bring us to power, I assure you that within 5 years, I will bring out Bihar from being a sick state," Modi promised.

On lines of boosting tourism in Bodh Gaya, he said, "Tourism in Bodh Gaya has potential to make Gaya one of the most scared cities in Asia. But vote bank politics here prevent this development."

The Prime Minister also made a pitch to develop the education system in Bihar.

Ahead of his rally, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the central government only listens, acts and responds on Twitter.

"Finally we have a government that could be truly called a "Union Twitter Government" that listens, acts, and responds only on twitter," Nitish Kumar tweeted.

Listing a number of queries he had posted before Modi's July 25 Muzaffarpur rally, Kumar tweeted: "Apparently you didn't have time to respond to these earlier. Hope you’ll do it now.Reposting for your ready reference."

Taking a dig at Modi, Kumar wrote: "Modiji even though you didn’t answer my questions was heartening to see you open your speech at Muzaffarpur taking cognizance of my tweets."

The JD(U) and the BJP were alliance partners for 15 years till they split ahead of the Lok Sabha elections over the projection of Modi as prime ministerial candidate.

Ahead of Bihar assembly polls, once bitter foes, the Janata Dal (U) of Nitish Kumar and  Rashtriya Janata Dal of Lalu Prasad formed alliance as part of a broad-based platform taking along the Congress and the Samajwadi Party to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA.
