Union Forest and Environment minister visits Sundarban Tiger Reserve

Kolkata, Apr 9 (IBNS): Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Science & Technology, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, visited the Sunderban Tiger Reserve in West Bengal on Sunday, according to reports.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan visited Sunderban Tiger Reserve Project Museum at Sajnekhali and paid a close look at the photographs, including some rare ones, displayed here.

The Union minister later visited Pirkhali, Sudhanyakhali, Dobanki, Netidhopani and other forest areas of Sunderban.

Images: PIBAccording to reports, the Union Minister expressed satisfaction at the functioning of the Sunderban Project Tiger. The minister also spoke to some of the forest guards here.

The minister also inaugurated a Conference-cum-Exhibition on “Connecting Solar Innovation with Entrepreneurship” in Kolkata on Sunday.

He addressed innovators, entrepreneurs, academicians and industry and said India is working to achieve 100-GW Solar Energy by 2022.
