Twenty-One Kerala medical students suspended for ragging juniors

Mallapuram, Dec 21 (IBNS) :At least 21 students of a state-run medical college in Kerala’s Malappuram district have been suspended following allegations of ragging, media reports said.

According to the allegations lodged with the college authorities, the  freshers were made to wash toilets and drink polluted water as part of ragging by senior students.

About 40 students lodged the complaint.

The college’s internal committee has begun its investigation and will submit its report to the anti-ragging committee on Wednesday.

After going through the report, the  panel will  file a complaint as per the seriousness of the act.
