TMC to organise dharna at Jantar Mantar against currency note ban tomorrow: Banerjee

Kolkata, Nov 22 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced her party will organise a dharna against Centre's demonetisation move at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Wednesday.

"Trinamool will organise a dharna against #DeMonetisation at Jantar Mantar tomorrow at 12:30 PM. Rallies will be held in across #Bengal ," Banerjee tweeted.

She said: "We appeal to NGOs,charitable organisations,political parties,student grps,civil society representatives & others to join #DeMonetisation."

The Chief Minister said: "Organise your own protests against this financial emergency. Protest. Protest. Protest. #Demonetisation."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced scrapping of all Rs. 1,000 and Rs.500 rupee notes on Nov 8.
