Three rhino poachers nabbed in Assam

Guwahati, June 20 (IBNS): Assam Police on Tuesday arrested three wanted rhino poachers and recovered arms and ammunition in Assam’s Darrang district.

Following a tip-off, Darrang police launched operation in the district and nabbed the poachers.

The nabbed poachers were identified as Moinul Hoque, Sahar Ali, Nabi Hussain and security personnel recovered one 303 rifle, 20 rounds live ammunition and other items in possession from them.

A top police official said that, the poachers have planned to kill rhino in the Orang national park.
