Sushma Swaraj visits Nepal, meets President Bidya Devi Bhandari, PM Deuba

Kathmandu, Feb 2 (IBNS): Visiting Nepal, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday met country's President Bidya Devi Bhandari here.

The Indian Minister congratulated the President on the successful conduct of election in Nepal. 

Issues relating to advancing muti-dimensional relationship between two nations were also discussed during the meeting.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted: " EAM @SushmaSwaraj paid a courtesy call on President of #Nepal Smt. Bidya Devi Bhandari. EAM congratulated the President on the successful conduct of election in Nepal. Exchange of views on advancing our muti-dimensional relationship took place."

Swaraj also met Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

"EAM @SushmaSwaraj met @PM_Nepal and congratulated him on the successful conduct of the recent elections. Discussions focused on enhancing our bilateral cooperation to take our age-old and historical partnership forward," Kumar tweeted.

After the crucial meetings, Sushma Swaraj later departed for India.
