Supreme Court enforces look out notice against Karti Chidambaram till Sept 11

New Delhi, Sep 1 (IBNS): The Supreme Court has kept the look out notice enforced against former Union finance minister P Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram till September 11 in an alleged corruption case, media report said.

Till September 11, Karti will not be able to leave the country.

The Supreme Court earlier in August stayed Madras High Court's order that had put on hold the look out notice issued against Karti Chidambaram

The lookout notice was issued, according to media reports, to prevent Karti Chidmabaram and his associates from leaving the country following the filing of an FIR against them pertaining to Karti and INX Media being allegedly involved in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance given to the media house for foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2007.

The probing agency had claimed that the FDI proposal of the media house was "fallacious" but former Union finance minister Chidambaramhad cleared it, reported TOI.
