Sonowal orders inquiry into electrocuted deaths

Guwahati, July 12 (IBNS): Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday ordered an inquiry into the chronology of circumstances leading to alleged spurt in the incidence of electrocuted deaths during seasonal floods in Assam.

Sonowal ordered Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture K.K. Mittal to inquire into the incidents.

It may be noted that following rising incidents of deaths allegedly caused by electrocution, Sonowal asked K.K. Mittal to inquire into the whole episode and fix responsibility so that reasons responsible for the deaths can be plucked once for all.

Sonowal asked K.K. Mittal to submit the report at the earliest.
