Srinagar, Oct 21 (IBNS) : A soldier and a BSF jawan were injured in separate incidents of gun battle with infiltrators and Pakistani rangers across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, reports said.

Lance Naik Vinod Kumar was injured in a fierce battle with a group of infiltrating terrorists in Gali Maidan area of Saujjan sector of Poonch district  while BSF jawan Gurnam Singh was wounded as Pakistani rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in the Hiranagar sector  in Kathua district.

The encounter in the Saujjan sector took place after terrorists  sneaked into India from the Pakistan occupied Kashmir in the wee hours.
The encounter is still in progress.

In  yet another incident of ceasefire violation,  Pakistani troopers  resorted to unprovoked firing at Bobiya post in  the Hiranagar sector  in which the BSF jawan was injured.
