Six people killed in Assam road mishap

Guwahati, Nov 29 (IBNS) : At least six people of a marriage party were killed in a road mishap in Assam’s Darrang district on Tuesday night, officials said on Wednesday.

According to the reports, the incident took place at National Highway near Dalgaon Batabari in Darrang district, while head on collision between a Wagon R car and a sand laden truck.

A top police official said that, two people, who travelled in the Wagon R car came from attending a marriage party died on spot and four others seriously injured and they had rushed to nearest hospital.

“But the injured four persons succumbed their injuries at hospital,” the police official said.

Four among six deceased persons were identified as Sivshankar Choudhury, Usman Ansari, Iman Ansari and Nadim Ansari.
