Salman Khan supports FTII students, says Chauhan should resign
Mumbai, July 16 (IBNS): Superstar Salman Khan is the latest celebrity to back the students of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), who want their newly appointed chairman Gajendra Chauhan to resign from his post.
At a promotional event for his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman said, "I think he should listen to the students because the students have made the industry what it is and some of them were rusticated as well."
They are protesting over the appointment of actor Gajendra Chauhan as the new chairman of the institution for over a month now.
The students of the prestigious institute have questioned the process of selecting Chauhan for the post who is also a member of the ruling BJP party.
Chauhan was well known for playing the role of "Yudhishthira" in the popular Indian TV serial Mahabharat.
