Rahul Gandhi pays tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, Jan 22 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday paid tribute to prominent Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 121st birth anniversary.

Along with a verse from Indian National Army (INA) marching song, Rahul tweeted: "On his jayanti, we remember Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a patriot, who inspires each of us even today."

Bose was the chief of INA, which was formed to secure India's independence from the British rule.

Earlier PM Modi tweeted: "The valour of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose makes every Indian proud. We bow to this great personality on his Jayanti."

President Ram Nath Kovind said on Twitter: "On his birthday, I offer my tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He remains one of our most beloved national heroes and an icon of India's freedom struggle."
