President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Ladakh

Leh, Aug 20 (IBNS): Amid India-China standoff at Doklam, President Ram Nath Kovind is all set to arrive in Ladakh on Sunday.

The president is scheduled to present the Presidential Colours, considered as one of the greatest honours bestowed upon a unit, to the Ladakh Scouts.

Ahead of his visit, army chief General Bipin Rawat went on a three-day trip to Ladakh to review the situation.

General Rawat is scheduled to receive the president at Leh. He will then accompany him during the ceremony.
