New Delhi, Dec 16 (IBNS): President of India Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the King and people of the Kingdom of Bhutan on the eve of their National Day (December 17, 2016).

In a message to the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the Indian President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to extend to Your Majesty and the friendly people of Bhutan my heartiest greetings on the occasion of your National Day.

The special relationship between our two countries is a shining example of good neighborly relations. Over the years, our close bonds of friendship have strengthened and our wide ranging cooperation has diversified in all areas of our shared interest. Our enduring friendship owes a great deal to the wisdom and commitment of successive Druk Gyalpos, including Your Majesty.
