Pranab Mukherjee wishes on birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev

New Delhi, Nov 13 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday sent his greetings to fellow citizens in India and abroad on the eve of birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

In a message, the President has said, “On the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to all my fellow citizens in India and abroad."

"The universal vision and humanism of Guru Nanak Devji have been an inspiration to people everywhere regardless of caste, colour or creed. May each one of us endeavour to follow the Guru’s profound teachings in our daily lives and work to strengthen the bonds of togetherness and mutual goodwill," Mukherjee said.

He said: "On this most revered day, let us all unite to bring happiness in the lives of the suffering and strive for the betterment of humanity”.
