Police finds body of kidnapped man in Hajin town

Srinagar, Apr 3 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday recovered the body of a youth abducted by gunmen on Monday in Hajin town in the north Indian state.

He was abducted by gunmen from his in-laws’ home in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

A police official said that the body of Naseer Ahmad Sheikh (26), son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, was recovered from a drain in Baghat Mohalla Shahgund, five kilometers from his residence in Hajin.

Naseer, as per his family and the police, was kidnapped at gunpoint by suspected terrorirsts from the house of his in-laws at around 10:15 pm.

Three of his relatives were injured after they tried to resist his kidnapping.

“The body bears visible bullet marks. It will be handed over to the next of his kin after post-mortem,” said a police official.
