PM Modi greets Vietnamese people on national day, to visit nation

New Delhi, Sept 2 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, greeted the people of Vietnam on their National Day.

Modi tweeted: "Greetings to the people of Vietnam on their National Day. Vietnam is a friendly nation with whom we cherish our relationship."

 

PM Modi's Facebook post notified that he will visit the nation and will reach Hanoi on Friday evening.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will hold extensive discussions with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

"I will also meet the President of Vietnam, Mr. Tran Dai Quang, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong; and the Chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan," the post read.

PM Modi said that India wants to forge a strong economic relation with Vietnam.

"Strengthening the people-to-people ties will also be an my endeavour during the Vietnam visit," the post said.

The Prime Minister will also pay tribute to Ho Chi Minh.
