PM Modi congratulates new Nepal PM KP Oli

New Delhi, Feb 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated his Nepal counterpart KP Oli who assumed his office on Thursday.

In a tweet, Modi said: "PM @narendramodi spoke to Shri KP Oli and congratulated him on assuming office as Nepal’s Prime Minister."

Oli, 65, has returned to power after one and a half years, media reports said.

He had secured a two-third majority in the parliamentary election held last year.

Oli became the 41st Nepal Prime Minister.
