New Delhi, July 1 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said his government has taken measures against those who have looted the nation.

"Our Government has taken a tough stand against those who have looted the nation," Modi said.

Modi made the remarks while speaking at the 68th Chartered Accountants' Day Celebrations in New Delhi.

He said: "A country where a select few loot, such a nation cannot scale new heights. These select few never want the nation to grow."

Modi made the remark a day after his government rolled out the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime on Friday midnight.
