OROP: Rahul Gandhi meets ex-servicemen

| | Nov 04, 2016, at 10:03 pm
New Delhi, Nov 4 (IBNS): Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Friday met ex-servicemen to discuss their concerns over implementation of the one rank one pension (OROP).

Gandhi said the proper implementation of the scheme is crucial as it concerns the dignity of the soldiers.

"OROP is not about the money but about the dignity of our soldiers, about justice for our soldiers," Gandhi told media.

"Modiji stop telling lies and implement OROP in letter and spirit," Gandhi said.

The issue of OROP once again triggered a debate recently after ex-serviceman Ram Kishen Grewal committed suicide over the matter.
