Oppositions' ruckus over farmers' plight on Thursday results in LS adjournment for the day

New Delhi, Jul 20 (IBNS): The Lok Sabha, on Thursday afternoon, adjourned for the day following uproar by opposition members on farmers' issues, according to media reports.

As proceedings at the Lok Sabha began for the day, Opposition members, mostly from the Congress, began to raise slogans during the Question Hour.

They walked to the Well and demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must answer about the troubles assailing India's farming communities. media reports said.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said discussion on farmers' plight continued late into the night on Wednesday, reports said.

Initially, the Lok Sabha was adjourned until 12pm. But was later adjourned for the day as the ruckus continued.
