New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS): Following the government's decision to put the ban on NDTV India on hold, the co-founder and co-Chairperson of the news network, Prannoy Roy thanked the media for their support and urged them to fight on.

Floating a tweet, Roy said, "Amazed at how united media forced govt to put the ban on hold. to all our media friends. We, a united media, have everything to fight for."

The I&B Ministry had decided to ban NDTV's Hindi news channel, NDTV India, for a day obver their Pathankot terror attack reportage.

The government deemed their report to be flawed and said that it gave away strategically-sensitive information.

Though NDTV cried foul against the government refuting all claims, I&B Minister M Venkaiah Naidu justified the action by saying that one cannot compromise the security of nation for the sake of press freedom.
