Narendra Modi wishes PV Sindhu

Beijing, Nov 20 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated badminton star PV Sindhu after she won the China Open in Fuzhou.

"Congratulations to @Pvsindhu1 for her first super series title. Well played! #ChinaOpen,"Modi tweeted.


PV Sindhu created history again on Sunday with her win at the prestigious China Open in Fuzhou.

She defeated local favourite Sun Yu to clinch the title.

This is her maiden Super Series title.

Sindhu beat Sun 21-11, 17-21, 21-11 in the finale that continued for an hour and nine minutes.

She won the Olympics silver medal earlier this year.
