Murder of New Delhi model: One arrested in Mumbai

New Delhi/Mumbai, Jul 8 (IBNS): One person related to the death of a 21-year old model from Delhi was arrested from Mumbai, according to media reports on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Adil and reported absconding since Thursday, was arrested by a joint police team from New Delhi and Maharashtra, on Friday.

A CCTV camera footage has revealed that the accused, on Thursday, stabbed the victim several times with a knife before she could escape and seek help from nearby shopkeepers, according to media reports. Reportedly, no one came to help her.

The attack took place in the Shahadara area of Delhi.

The victim succumbed to her injuries in the hospital the following day.
