Modi ends Afghanistan visit, leaves for Qatar

Kabul, June 4 (IBNS); Ending his Afghanistan tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday left for Qatar.

MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted: Long live India-Afghan Friendship! A short but momentous visit ends as PM departs for Qatar on 2nd leg of his tour."

The Afghanistan government on Saturday conferred its highest civilian honour-Amir Amanullah Khan Award-on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On the first stopover of his five-nation trip Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday   inaugurated the India-Afghan Friendship dam jointly with  Afghanistan President  Ashraf Ghani in the strategically important Herat province neighbouring Iran.
