Modi calls UNESCO's move to make Ahmadabad world heritage city as matter of 'joy'
New Delhi, July 9 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said it was a matter of 'joy' that UNESCO has named Gujarat's Ahmadabad city as a heritage city.
Modi tweeted: "A matter of immense joy for India!"
"Just inscribed as @UNESCO #WorldHeritage Site: Historic City of Ahmadabad #India http://en.unesco.org/41whc #41whc," the UNESCO tweeted.
Modi had earlier served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat before being elected as the Prime Minister in 2014.
