Mamata Banerjee remembers Gaganendranath Tagore on birth anniversary
Kolkata, Sept 18 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday remembered painter Gaganendranath Tagore on his birth anniversary.
She tweeted: "Remembering the great painter and cartoonist, Gaganendranath Tagore on his birth anniversary."
Tagore was an Indian painter and cartoonist of the Bengal school.
Along with his brother Abanindranath Tagore, he was counted as one of the earliest modern artists in India.
He was born on Sept 17, 1867.
The painted passed away in 1938.
