Madras HC stays lookout notice against former finance minister's son Karti Chidambaram
Justice M Duraiswamy has asked the Centre to file a counter-affidavit by Sep 4, media reported.
The lookout notice was issued against Karti Chidambaram on June 16 and that against four of his associates on July 18.
The lookout notice was issued, according to media reports, to prevent Karti Chidmabaram and his associates from leaving the country following the filing of an FIR against them pertaining to Karti and INX Media being allegedly involved in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance given to the media house for foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2007.
The probing agency had claimed that the FDI proposal of the media house was "fallacious" but former Union finance minister Chidambaram had cleared it, reported TOI.
