Kolkata: President Mukherjee attends bicentenary of Bengali Newspaper, inaugurates an art exhibition

Kolkata, Jun 30 (IBNS): President of India Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated an exhibition of art works at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, on Friday.

He also received the first copies of two Coffee Table books ‘Images and Impressions – Profile and Persona of Pranab Mukherjee’ and ‘Pranab Mukherjee 100 Frames’ from the Governor of West Bengal, Keshari Nath Tripathi, who formally released these books.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that during his long career in public life - as a Minister, Member of Parliament and as President of the country, he has received immense love from political colleagues, Parliamentarians and the people of the country.

Earlier in the day, President Pranab Mukherjee addressed a gathering at the bicentenary celebrations of Bengali Newspaper, organised by the Press Club of Kolkata, in Kolkata, West Bengal.
