Kolkata, Jul 6 (IBNS): The suspected Islamic States (IS) linkman, who was arrested by West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday after hour-long interrogation, was produced in Howrah Court on Wednesday and sent to CID custody for 14 days.

The 25-year-old suspect, Md. Masiruddin alias Mussa, was detained on Monday late evening from Howrah to Rampurhat bound Viswabharati Fast Passenger train at Burdwan railway station. An android mobile phone, few sim cards, a 4" sharp knife, an improvised small firearm and three round bullets were seized from his possession.

After preliminary interrogation there, he was taken to West Bengal Police headquarters Bhabani Bhawan in Kolkata on Tuesday morning. After being quizzed there by CID, Intelligence Bureau (IB) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials for hours, he was officially arrested in the afternoon.

Mussa, however, was produced in a local court in West Bengal's Howrah district on Wednesday and sent to 14-day CID custody.

Meanwhile, two more suspects- Sheikh Kaloo and Sheikh Amin, who were waiting at Ahmedpur station to receive Mussa- have been detained and are being questioned, sources said.
