Kolkata, Nov 4 (IBNS): West Bengal Forest Department and Kolkata Police on Thursday night booked an astrologer in Kolkata for allegedly trying to sell objects made of elephant bones, reports said.

According to reports, a few days ago,  the astrologer posted an advertisement on his website, where he claimed that he wanted to sell Gaja Mukta (elephant pearl), made of elephant bones.

Based on technical inputs, the astrologer was arrested from south Kolkata's Bhawanipur area along with six so-called 'elephant pearls', which have been sent for laboratory test.

The astrologer is likely to be produced at a local court on Friday.
